Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Client Services:
    • Handle day-to-day patient inquiries, case assessments, and intake processes.
    • Coordinate with volunteer attorneys, financial advisors, and community service providers to ensure that client needs are met and monitored.
    • Coordinate with other Client Services staff members to ensure that priorities and client needs are met.
    • Enter data and update client files on a timely basis.
  • Volunteer Management:
    • Establish and maintain proactive, positive relationships with volunteer attorneys, financial advisors, and other community service providers.
    • Assist staff in researching, recruiting, and data management of volunteer professionals.
    • Coordinate attorney and financial advisor evaluation forms, track outcome information as requested, and report to the Client Services Manager on major issues reported.
  • Reporting:
    • Track and input client data and correspondence on client issues, including referral requests and responses from volunteer professionals and client follow up.
    • Assist the Client Services staff with the tracking and reporting of all client-level and issue-level metrics.
    • Work with the Client Services Manager to establish strategies for improvement in the delivery of services and resources to CancerLINC clients.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Social work, paralegal, or healthcare background also preferred.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to engage in active and empathic listening.
    • Experience with Excel and data management systems to manage data and reports.
    • Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, assess situations quickly, and make logical and appropriate decisions when handling client issues.
    • Bilingual (Spanish-English) communication skills (verbal and written) strongly preferred.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift objects/boxes at least 20 pounds.
