The Virginia Mental Health Access Program (VMAP) is a statewide initiative that helps health care providers take better care of children and adolescents with mental health conditions through provider education and increasing access to child psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and care navigators. MSVF is the Contract Administrator for VMAP and collaborates with the Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, the Virginia Department of Health, and numerous other partners to expand the program statewide through the establishment of five regional hubs that will deliver the key program goals.
The Medical Society of Virginia Foundation (MSVF) is seeking an Education Manager for the Virginia Mental Health Access Program (VMAP). This position is responsible for oversight of the VMAP educational programs and faculty support, program quality assurance and data management, and collaboration with the VMAP Executive Committee to review program metrics. The successful candidate will show initiative and self-leadership, are collegial and work well with others, and can function in a dynamic environment.
Major Duties
- Collaborate with VMAP Program Director for program planning, logistics, and review of related VMAP education programming; coordinate with Program Director on educational programming as it relates to communications with internal and external stakeholders; support Program Director with translating executive committee vision and strategy to operational performance and growth.
- Oversee VMAP educational programs and faculty support.
- Oversee strategic vision of educational programming and training for VMAP participants, including VMAP’s REACH PPP, Project ECHO, QI, and other training opportunities.
- Coordinate with education team leaders on an annual master calendar of events, including staffing needs, and program registration.
- Conduct outreach for educational events and trainings including coordinating with marketing and outreach teams to optimize messaging to target audiences and connect with partners and various stakeholders across the state.
- Coordinate and facilitate VMAP REACH trainings alongside program team
- Support obtaining necessary accreditation and/or education credits (CME, CEU, MOC, etc) for programs; work with accreditation programs to ensure continuing education credit requirements are met.
- Manage VMAP education program data; collaborate with VMAP data analyst on quality assurance and data integrity.
- Prepare and present regular summaries for organizational, statewide, or other stakeholder meetings as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in medical/healthcare educational environment
- Knowledge of requirements for accredited continuing medical education preferred.
- Experience with adult learning theory preferred.
