This position oversees general building maintenance tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete maintenance and repair duties, such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system components.
  • Follow safety regulations set by OSHA and CCC.
  • Execute oral and written instructions.
  • Travel to all Richmond-area locations as necessary.
  • Assist in relocating and reorganizing office furniture and appliances.
  • Replace burnt and broken lights, batteries in various systems, ceiling tiles, flooring, doors, windows, locks, and appliances.
  • Unclog toilets, sinks, and drains; repair and replace pipes and plumbing fixtures.
  • Regularly clean and replace HVAC filters, assessing larger HVAC repairs as needed.
  • Repair damaged plaster and drywall surfaces.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly toolkit.
  • Communicate with Facilities Manager about maintenance projects and provide updates on assigned tasks.
  • Represent the Agency professionally in the community and workplace.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.
  • Utilize basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Job Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma with five years of related experience. Type III CFC certification required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds. Must hold a valid driver's license.
