Job Summary:


This position involves overseeing general building maintenance tasks.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and repair duties, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system repairs and replacements. Mechanical aptitude is necessary.
  • Adhere to safety regulations as per OSHA and CCC standards.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Travel to various Richmond-area locations is required.
  • Assist in office furniture and appliance relocation and reorganization.
  • Replace lights, batteries in automatic toilets, smoke detectors, and security systems.
  • Change ceiling tiles, flooring, doors, windows, locks, and appliances as needed.
  • Address toilet, sink, and drain blockages; repair and replace pipes and plumbing fixtures.
  • Regularly clean and replace HVAC filters; evaluate larger HVAC repairs when necessary.
  • Repair damaged plaster and drywall surfaces; repaint to match.
  • Maintain a clean and organized tool kit.
  • Liaise with the Facilities Manager regarding significant maintenance and repair projects; provide updates on assigned maintenance requests.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Represent the Agency professionally in the community and workplace.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population.
  • Utilize basic Microsoft Office applications.

Qualifications:


Job Qualifications:

  • Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma with five years of related experience. Type III CFC certification required.
  • Work Environment: Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds; valid driver's license.
