This position serves as the first point of contact for visitors. This position ensures a professional, seamless, and welcoming experience. The position requires customer service expertise, strong communication skills, and organizational abilities. This requires handling routine interactions in accordance with rules, policies, and procedures. The incumbent will perform standard receptionist and concierge duties such as greeting individuals, answering phones, directing calls, directing customers to the appropriate resource, ensuring intake procedures are followed, reporting issues, etc.

Duties include but are not limited to

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Greeting and assisting individuals upon arrival, creating a warm and professional first impression.
  • Providing general information about services, providing directions to customers.
  • Contacting and coordinating with departments to address customer needs.
  • Handling check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
  • Resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
  • Managing front desk operations, including promptly responding to inquiries.
  • Ensuring a clean, tidy, and professional reception area.
  • Maintaining an organized front desk area, projecting a professional environment.
  • Maintaining a consistent and reliable presence, adhering to scheduled work hours.
  • Handling a range of administrative duties.

 

Qualifications, Special Certifications and Licenses


 REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFIFCATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of related customer service, clerical, office support, receptionist, or concierge experience.
  • An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications. 
  • Speaking a secondary language is not required but is preferred.

The working conditions may contain environmental hazards. In terms of the physical strength to perform the essential duties, this classification is considered to be sedentary, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
