The Integrated Fundraising Specialist is a key contributor to our mission by developing and managing all aspects of donor acquisition and retention through multi-channel fundraising using written communications, digital platforms, and fundraising campaigns. Digital strategy and metrics driven analytics will be significant aspects of fundraising through this role. The position includes collaborating with fundraising team members, donor segmentation, donor stewardship and managing social media and email marketing programs.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage chapter communications calendar, work with chapter staff on strategy, timing, and content.
  • Manage and create segmented e-communications for chapter.
  • Collaborate on development fundraising initiatives and programs to plan, guide and direct digital fundraising.
  • Analyze campaign, audience and program performance using Salesforce and other tools as needed to identify donors to move up through the development pipeline.
  • Determine audience strategy across various CRM tools. Continually test and iterate recruitment and engagement tactics across mass marketing to maximize engagement and fundraising.
  • Develop and submit yearly fundraising plans and revenue/expense budgets. Compare, track and report actual revenue/expense to budget.
  • Create and maintain donor recognition plan for new, monthly, and mid-level donors.
  • Assist with storytelling and content creation for digital platforms and email marketing.
  • Write direct mail annual appeals with follow-up strategy to retain and upgrade donors.
  • Create and execute all grant deliverables including writing wish stories, completing grant reports, and creating partner thank you collateral.
  • Develop strategy to engage and renew Lybunt/Sybunt donors.
  • Maintain a portfolio of entry level donors.
  • Collaborate with Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America on best practices and resources.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in marketing, business, communications, or related field preferred. 
  • 2+ years direct response, advertising/marketing experience, and/or online marketing/fundraising experience.
  • Strong writing skills using powerful storytelling - Experience in high-performance fundraising environments. 
  • Demonstrated experience with project management, customer service, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
  • High levels of integrity, trustworthiness, flexibility, compassion, and humor are necessary to address the practicalities of a growing nonprofit, along with the creativity and persistence required to elicit new thinking and change. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, and work in a deadline driven environment. 
  • Ability to stay motivated without direct supervision.
  • Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output.
