Perform risk management activities in support of First Line of Defense operational risk management. Provide support and complete requirements associated with operational risk practices, initiatives, and programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate risk-based analysis of key Mortgage functions to ensure effective risk identification and controls.
For identified gaps and issues, perform root cause analysis and ensure issues are escalated, managed and remediated. Project management work in support projects to remediate control issues.
Complete controls testing for RCSA and CRCSA controls including test of design and test of operating effectiveness.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business-related field, or equivalent education and related training
Five years of work-related experience including audit, operations, process engineering, or risk management in the financial services industry
Solid knowledge of risk management practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
Conceptual ability to analyze processes, problems and devise solutions
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
Ability to travel, occasionally overnight
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in process management/process excellence/Six Sigma
Proficiency in control testing/evaluation
Professional designations in related fields.
Supplemental education and experience in residential mortgage lending (e.g. operations, audit, processing, quality control)
Strong knowledge of investor/insurer guidelines, including Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (FHLMC), Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA), Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Veteran Affairs (VA)
