The City of Richmond Department of Public Utilities – Richmond Gas Works seeks a qualified Management Analyst Associate to facilitate utility scheduling tasks. The selected candidate will manage data gathering, analysis, and reporting, demonstrating critical thinking, minimal oversight, strong communication skills, and a reliable team player attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and intermediate computer skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and coordination with various departments, customers, contractors, and field staff.
- Deliver excellent customer service through timely and accurate written responses to inquiries.
- Manage meter scheduling, updates, and changes via appropriate databases and spreadsheets.
- Conduct research and detailed analysis to provide factual and accurate responses to inquiries.
- Maintain departmental management systems, including document sorting, verification, filing, scanning, indexing, and retrieval.
- Review, certify, and submit invoices ensuring compliance with the City of Richmond’s “Prompt Pay” ordinance.
- Review and reconcile monthly vendor statements.
Qualifications:
- Considerable knowledge of general/special funds, electronic databases/software, governmental accounting concepts, and computer programs like Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Analytical skills for data analysis, report generation, and effective communication with senior management.
- Multi-tasking ability, organization, problem-solving skills, and time management.
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or a related field.
- Two years of paraprofessional experience in program/project administration or management analysis.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to follow established data entry procedures and collaborate effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and databases.
- Analytical skills for identifying and resolving data discrepancies.
- Attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
Licensing and Other Requirements:
