The City of Richmond Department of Public Works is seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Management Analyst, Associate in the Roadway Division.
As assigned, incumbents may serve as lead workers, assigning work and monitoring work completion. Incumbents may assist with supervising paraprofessional and support level staff including assisting with performance evaluations, coordinating training, and implementing hiring, discipline, and termination procedures.
Duties Include
- Administering, coordinating, managing, and maintaining programs, and projects
- Providing professional analysis including analysis of complicated issues
- Preparing, writing, and updating various reports, analyses, and other documentation; and presenting information as needed
- Supporting and working closely with others to ensure accuracy of information
- Presenting information, responding to requests, and updates supervisor
- Serving as liaison to external departments and third party claims agency
- Bachelor's degree in business/public administration or field related to assignment
- Two years of paraprofessional experience in area related to assignment, such as assisting with program or project administration and management analysis
- An equivalent combination of training and experience (as approved by the department) may be used to meet the minimum qualifications of the classification
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office
- Proficient with Cityworks or a work order management system
- Two (2) years of inspection and investigative techniques experience
- Prior report writing and documentation experience
- Record keeping experience
- Experience handling confidential materials.
- Some assignments may require a valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record, and a valid Commonwealth of Virginia Driver's License within 30 days of hire.

In terms of the physical strength to perform the essential duties, this classification is considered to be sedentary, exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects.
