We know that our vision is a meaningful one that requires the very best talent.  We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager. The position will be on the MSV Marketing Team and will work closely with the Virginia Mental Health Access Program (VMAP) to meet the marketing and communications needs of the program. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a VMAP marketing strategy that aligns with the VMAP strategic plan in collaboration with the MSV marketing team. The position will manage VMAP’s social media channels, design and manage marketing materials, and ensure brand quality and consistency.


Major Duties:

  • Manage VMAP marketing materials and outreach processes.
    • Maintain and manage printed marketing materials required for outreach, events, trainings, webinars, conferences, meetings, including but not limited to presentations, flyers, handouts, promotional items, giveaways, etc.
    • Oversee requests for new marketing materials and work with associated teams to design and distribute.
    • Plan and oversee VMAP email campaigns and communications with VMAP providers, trainees, meeting attendees, stakeholders, and partners.
    • Produce quarterly newsletters to VMAP stakeholders with relevant updates, news, and program information.
    • Notify VMAP community of program updates, regional services, and any other VMAP related news (ie. quarterly VMAP newsletters)
  • Ensure VMAP brand quality and consistency.
    • Ensure that marketing materials are in proper supply for hub staff outreach and conferences/events.
    • Manage and update the VMAP Strategic Marketing Plan, and ensure all marketing efforts align with plan.
    • Ensure consistency of brand standards for all public facing marketing materials including printed collateral, digital communications, presentation materials, etc.
    • Ensure that VMAP is regularly and effectively engaging the existing VMAP community and new providers via marketing and outreach in alignment with the VMAP marketing plan.
    • Consult monthly VMAP dashboards to ensure that Marketing Plan KPIs are on track.
    • Regularly engage existing stakeholders, funders, community organizations, and other relevant partners
    • Regularly engage current users of the program (PCPs that are registered and/or have been trained through VMAP education).
  • Serve as the marketing liaison for the VMAP program statewide.
    • Work closely with VMAP Program Director, executive team, regional hub teams, and education teams to ensure they have all needed event and meeting marketing materials.
    • Collaborate with all partners to make sure VMAP marketing needs are met (ie. VA AAP, REACH, Project ECHO).
  • Manage VMAP social media channels in collaboration with MSV Marketing department.
    • Manage and maintain VMAP’s social media presence on Twitter, YouTube, Linked In, Facebook, and Instagram
    • Develop weekly content calendars and schedule accordingly for social media channels and ensure social media knowledge by staying up to date with the latest social media updates and news.
    • Ensure Social Media content is up to date, effective, in alignment with VMAP Marketing Plan
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field o 2-5 years of experience in marketing 
    • Strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools, and content management systems 
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
    • Skilled in writing and editing content with attention to detail. 
    • Strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills 
    • Ability to work independently.
