We are looking for a great new Membership Director. Creative. Detail-oriented. Enthusiastic. Curious. Is this you? We are a statewide professional organization dedicated to the education and professionalism of trial lawyers and the preservation and improvement of the judicial system.
Duties
- Recommends, implements and monitors effectiveness of membership recruitment and retention plans
- Serves as staff liaison to membership committee and implements committee tasks and objectives
- Finds and identifies new prospect for membership
- Develops and updates membership materials (printed and online)
- Effectively welcomes all new members by following the onboarding process
- Ensures optimum membership renewal rate by following the retention plan
- Implements dues billing/marketing schedule to ensure all members are sufficiently notified to renew
- Prepares and handles all aspects of the dues invoice process
- Promotes member involvement in association activities
- Works to increase visibility of member services, benefits & discount programs
- Updates all membership statistics including monthly retention & recruitment tracking; analyzes information and makes recommendations
- Works with Board of Governors and other leaders on membership recruitment and retention efforts
- Liaisons with vendor to maintain an accurate and efficient database and website
- Manages Membership Assistant to ensure departmental tasks are completed efficiently and effectively
- Ensures accuracy of records in membership database

- Demonstrated success in membership recruitment, retention, and engagement, achieving revenue goals, maintaining database integrity, and managing volunteers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with some association management/membership database software applications is preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications is expected.
