This position is responsible for building & managing relationships and planning & implementing initiatives which support fundraising, communications, and parish engagement activities for the company from the eastern Charlottesville/Albemarle area through the Tidewater area of Virginia.  


Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Fund Development Officer to prepare and submit regional foundation, corporation, and government grant proposals to secure programmatic and general operating funding. 
  • Collects marketing content for the Communications team to use in multiple digital media campaigns supporting the annual editorial calendar and departmental work plan. 
  • Collaborates with program directors and Communications team to ensure all PR & paid advertising aligns with annual strategic marketing goals for the territory from east of Charlottesville through Tidewater area. 
  • Works with Fund Development Officer and VP of MA to identify prospects and to cultivate and steward current donors and funders. Supports all fundraising initiatives as directed.  
  • Cultivates relationships with parish staff and volunteers to expand the partnerships between parishes and CCC. 
  • Communicates regularly with all parishes in the service territory to market CCC programs, recruit volunteers and to secure financial and in-kind funding for programs and general operating expenses. Communications include email, phone, digital newsletters, and parish resource website page. 
  • Acts as liaison between CCC management team and parish communities to identify unmet needs to inform program development. 
  • Develops parish & Catholic schools marketing strategy, in coordination with the Communications team, to raise awareness within the parishes about CCC programs service offerings and to provide opportunities for parish engagement. 
  • Develops and maintains acumen for all CCC’s programs, projects, and advocacy initiatives.  
  • Promptly and thoroughly enters donor, funder, parish engagement and volunteer data and notes into our donor database. 
  • Manages and fulfills all in-kind donation requests and volunteer opportunities from CCC program directors. 
  • Meets all deadlines as instructed by the VP of Mission Advancement 
  • Always represents CCC in a professional and ethical manner while in the workplace and in the community. 
  • Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics 
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills 
  • Must maintain high proficiency in Microsoft office applications, donor database and all other software applications and digital platforms used by the Mission Advancement team. 

Travel to the parishes throughout the territory is required. Approx. travel = 30-40% of time.  


    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required with two years of related experience.
