The Recreation Center Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of a recreation facility, including front desk operations and logistics for recreational, social, and special event programs. The incumbent will plan activities, organize team lineups and program participation, schedule appropriate activities, secure supplies and equipment, teach and supervise activities, enforce safety rules, resolve disputes, and provide guidance and support to program participants. Additionally, the coordinator will assist with program communications, transportation, meetings, recruitment, training, and general clerical tasks.

- Basic office equipment and computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe systems)

- Standard gallery rules for hanging lettering, labels, and industry rules on artwork height

Essential Duties:
- Supervise staff and daily operations, ensuring proper coverage
- Plan and implement recreation programs, trips, sports games, and special events
- Monitor and maintain accurate reports and logs
- Perform additional local-level duties as assigned, such as writing press releases, conducting research, managing the music program, preparing refreshments, organizing participant pick-up, or recruiting and training volunteers
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Associate's Degree in parks and recreation or business administration
- Two years of paraprofessional experience in recreation program management
- An equivalent combination of training and experience approved by the department may meet the minimum qualifications
