This position maintains records of financial transactions for the agency.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Enters data into the general ledger, including but not limited to, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Receipts, Cash Disbursements, and Adjusting Journal Entries.
- Prepares accounting uploads to the General Ledger.
- Reviews accounting invoice batches to ensure proper general ledger coding relative to budget and chart of accounts.
- Monitors the program distribution codes to ensure proper allocation of expenses.
- Assists in analyzing financial data and reports variances to appropriate management.
- Prepares periodic reports comparing budgeted costs to actual costs.
- Prepares and analyzes balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly billings under grants and other awards.
- Reconciles trial balance accounts.
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements for departmental approval.
- Assists in the preparation of the annual report for the Agency.
- Assists agency management with the preparation of divisional budgets and provides information necessary for grant proposals.
- Demonstrates a willingness to help other Finance staff when necessary.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.
- Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the service populations' cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study required with four years of experience.
- CPA Certification preferred.
