Instructional Design experience strongly preferred.


Responsible for ownership of the teammate learning experience for assigned verticals and/or projects. Provide oversight, analysis and support related to all training requirements. Where appropriate, leverage internal capabilities to deliver formalized coaching, training and communication on various topics to drive teammate engagement. Lead complex initiatives and projects that include multiples practices or areas of specialty. Support larger work-load than Learning Strategist I.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Drive and support the overall training strategy to drive high teammate engagement within Mortgage. Partner with various entities (Truist Learning, vendors, external & internal partners) to deliver on agreed upon strategy.

  2. Design, build and deliver timely, thorough and engaging need-specific training and enablement topics based on business prioritization and teammate absorption capacity.

  3. Represent team by participating in complex cross-functional initiatives and large-scale projects with little management intervention

  4. Pivot quickly between practices or roles to become familiar with assigned change or process in order to build appropriate learning materials.

  5. Work with stakeholders to prioritize training needs intake across Mortgage through a change management lens.

  6. Serve as line of business representative and SME for Truist Learning design and material review. Ensure key training courses are reviewed and audited according to internal standards.

  7. Measure the effectiveness of training strategy through reporting, analytics, and surveys

  8. Contribute in the day-to-day maintenance and oversight of centralized role-based online repository to enable teammate preparation and knowledge.

  9. Stay current on Mortgage guidelines, policies, procedures, and system changes to effectively support teammates.

  10. Lead and mentor less experienced team members. May manage a small team of direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS


Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business related field, or equivalent education and training

  2. Minimum of five years of mortgage banking experience, preferably in Retail Production, Correspondent Lending, or Servicing

  3. Two years in training, enablement, or communications with appropriate exposure to adult learning methodology, or similar comparable experience within mortgage lending

  4. Ability to independently synthesize complex information and translate into training & enablement materials easily consumed by teammates

  5. Well-rounded and advanced skills in presentation across multiple mediums

  6. Engaging communication style, both in-person and virtually

  7. Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  8. Strong organizational and planning skills

  9. Excellent relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Instructional Design Experience

  2. Advanced accreditation in results-based training curriculum or similar study

  3. Project-based work experience

  4. Working knowledge in all areas across Mortgage: Retail Origination & Fulfillment, Correspondent, Servicing, Capital Markets, Strategic Growth and Risk (BURM)

  5. Experience working in an Agile environment
