The City of Richmond Department of Information Technology is seeking a Technology Systems Developer for its Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Applications Division. The incumbent will play a crucial role in programming, analyzing, developing, implementing, and maintaining automated computer systems supporting the City's Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system - Oracle E-Business Suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing Oracle database solutions
- Configuring and customizing ERP modules (HR/Finance)
- Developing technical design documents and supporting development deliverables
- Providing production support and developing solutions for complex problems
- Conducting code/design reviews and ensuring project requirements are met
- Serving as an Essential employee, including on-call support 24/7 during emergencies
Qualifications, Special Certifications, and Licenses
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Oracle e-Business Suite, Oracle RDMS, and PuTTY/WinSCP
- Advanced technical skills in PL/SQL, EBS-R-12, and application development
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management abilities
Minimum Training and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems development, or database management
- One year of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience as approved by the department
Licensing, Certifications, and/or Other Special Requirements:
- None required
Preferred Training and Experience:
- At least two (2) years of direct experience with Oracle applications
- Technical fluency in relational databases, including solid SQL and PL/SQL skills
- Experience with large-scale Oracle databases and Oracle Forms and Reports
